Privacy policy

What we collect. Your name, phone number, email, district, the content of your profile and gigs, your orders, messages sent through Akazi, ratings, and, if you choose the Verified badge, a photo of your national ID.

Why. To run the marketplace: connect clients and workers, process payments, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, and improve the service.

Phone numbers. Your number is never shown publicly. It is shared only with the other party of a booking once that booking is paid. Numbers typed into chat are hidden automatically before payment.

ID documents. Stored in a private area, visible only to Akazi verification staff, used only to confirm identity, never shared with other users.

Payments. Handled by licensed payment providers (mobile money and card processors). Akazi never stores your PIN or full card number.

Sharing. We do not sell your data. We share it only with payment providers, to comply with Rwandan law, or to resolve a dispute you are part of.

Your rights. You can update your profile any time, and request deletion of your account from your Account page. Legal and financial records are kept as required by law.
